ZI WEI DOU SHU
Zi Wei Dou Shu is widely considered as the most advanced form of Chinese astrology.
Zi Wei Dou Shu is commonly referred to as "The Study for Kings" because of its ability to forecast an individual's life with an unparalleled level of detail, surpassing all other methods of divination.
Beyond Chinese animal Zodiac
Zi Wei Dou Shu, also known as Imperial Astrology or Purple Star Astrology, is an ancient Chinese astrology system that goes beyond the commonly recognized Chinese zodiac animals. This system calculates a person's fate and destiny based on their lunar birth year, date, and hour, providing in-depth insights into their life, identifying the underlying reasons for any issues, and predicting potential future events so that appropriate actions can be taken. It's fascinating, isn't it?
The Western astrology we know today has its roots in Greek Hellenistic astrology, which originally came from ancient Mesopotamia. As Greek culture spread to the East, Hellenistic astronomy made its way to ancient India. Through the expansion of Buddhism and trading along the Silk Road connecting China to Central Asia, ancient Indian astronomy eventually became the precursor, known as the "Seven Governing Stars and Four Auspicious Stars," to Zi Wei Dou Shu.

Benefits Zi Wei Dou Shu Life Map Reading.
Avoiding Setbacks
Zi Wei Dou Shu astrology can offer valuable insights into your life, enabling you to steer clear of potential setbacks and difficulties. Since individuals are often uncertain about what the future holds, they are unprepared to avoid problems such as sickness, conflicts, accidents, gossip, divorce, and disasters. Without a roadmap to guide them, life becomes a matter of trial and error, akin to attempting to reach an unfamiliar destination without a map. By preventing setbacks, you can concentrate your energy and efforts on achieving your objectives instead of dealing with problems.
Gaining Insight into Your Karma
As you navigate through life's journey, you'll inevitably come across individuals and circumstances that are linked to your karma. These may manifest as roadblocks in your career, relationships, or family life, leaving you confused as to why you're facing so many obstacles. However, a Life Map reading can provide you with a clear understanding of the significance and purpose of the people and events in your life, bringing closure to certain issues. Through this awareness, you'll realize that the challenges you face are, in fact, blessings in disguise.
Introspection
One of the purposes of your existence is to settle karmic debts and cultivate gratitude. When someone treats you poorly, rather than responding with negativity, you can view it as an opportunity to better yourself, engage in introspection, and make necessary changes. If you don't learn from these challenging experiences, you will continue to confront similar obstacles until you do. By examining your Life Map, you can gain a better comprehension of the difficulties you may encounter and how to evade them before they impact you.
Shaping Your Future
Numerous individuals avoid discovering their future due to the fear of encountering tragic events. Instead, they prefer to navigate through life unaware of what's ahead. Nevertheless, this lack of information can act as a roadblock, hindering them from accomplishing their objectives. Success necessitates adequate preparation, and without it, failure is almost guaranteed. The Life Map serves as an impartial guide, offering insights and direction to aid in shaping your future.
Guiding Your Life
Similar to road signs, your Life Map reveals potential dead ends and the directions that lead to favorable outcomes. Consider the amount of time, energy, money, stress, and heartache you could save if you were able to avoid unsuitable relationships, careers, business partnerships, or academic pursuits and instead focus on the appropriate ones. Obtaining a Life Map reading is a surefire way to navigate your life in the right direction.
History of Zi Way Dou Shu (紫微斗數)
Zi Wei Dou Shu (ZWDS) has a historical background rooted in the study of astronomy. Astrology is the practice of connecting human life with planetary movements, which was widely adopted by advanced and ancient civilizations in both government and daily life.
The first references to ZWDS appeared during the Tang Dynasty (970BC), with several names associated with its development. These include Lu Chun Yang (呂純陽), a Taoist who conceptualized and studied human destiny in relation to planetary cycles, Chen Xi Yi (陳希夷), a Taoist priest who developed ZWDS during the Song Dynasty, and Luo Hong Xian (羅洪先) from the Ming Dynasty, that brought it to the present-day form. However, its exact origin is still debated among different schools.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, ZWDS was an exclusive instrument of the Bureau of Astronomy, serving only the Emperor. However, after World War II, masters began openly teaching ZWDS to the public.
On the subject of birth-chart divination, ZWDS stands apart from the more well-known Four Pillars of Destiny system. It relies solely on the lunar calendar and positions of the night sky, whereas Four Pillars is based on the sexagenary cycle system, which is often mapped to traditional Chinese solar terms. However, many consider the two systems to be complementary rather than competitive due to their differences.
ZWDS is a part of the study of destiny (ming xue), which has a long history of being intertwined with astronomy. Astronomers and astrologers were often recruited as officials to produce astrological charts for the emperor in dynastic eras. They observed the stars and noticed that one star, named the "Emperor Star," seemed stationary while the rest revolved around it. This star is the celestial equivalent of the Emperor and is known as Polaris in the West. While this star has a physical basis, the other "stars" in ZWDS represent the cyclical passage of time and may not necessarily represent physical stars in the sky.
Practitioners of ZWDS do not view the natal chart as an infallible guide to the future, but rather as a detailed form of forecasting. Fortune and destiny are considered structurally complex and are unlikely to be changed by a single factor. While changing lucky colors or numbers may not significantly impact destiny, knowledge of potential future outcomes may empower one to make decisions from a position of strength. The ZWDS approach recognizes the "spiritual dynamic of the universe" to identify the pattern of change leading to "fundamental truth".
